Deep Freeze Tray Icon Missing? Easy! :)

Many people have same problem about Deep Freeze. Its tray icon's missing. How to solve the problem? easy :)



1. Go Switch to Shadow Defender, and never use Deep Freeze again.
Haha I know it's not a problem solve, but hey its the easy way. Why do people still use a software make their life hard if there is a same function software that is a lot easier to use and less problem? Go use Shadow Defender now.

Ok ok you still want to recover you Deep Freeze Icon, try this

2. Follow these steps below;

  1. Back up your computer registry by creating a new restore point.
  2. Open Regedit. (Type Regedit on the Run Box. Dunno where it is? Just press Windows + R on your keyboard then.
  3. Find this key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cla sses\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Wi ndows\CurrentVersion \TrayNotify.
  4. Remove the values "IconStreams" and "PastIconsStream".
  5. Now open Task Manager (Ctrl + Alt + Del), Click the Processes tab, find explorer.exe and hit the End Process button.
  6. Open the Applications tab and click New Task at the bottom-right of the window.
  7. Hit OK if a message box pop.
  8. The Explorer program should then reload, and your Deep Freeze Missing Icons should be back in the system-tray where it should be.
  9. Easy? hope it works for you.


And remember, switch to Shadow Defender now ;)
